Encouraged by their success in Latin America, the United States, and Europe, Pollo Campero opened their first restaurant in Asia in 2007 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since then, they have opened stores in China and Bahrain, with plans for stores in India.
Pollo Campero Indonesia
Fried chicken was on the menu in Jakarta in February 2007 when Pollo Campero launched its first restaurant in Asia. Local businessmen, dignitaries, and many anxious customers were on hand to get their hands on the flavor that Latin Americans have been hoarding for more than 35 years.

PT Prima Multi Rasa is the company who has the Pollo Campero franchise for Indonesia and has plans to open more stores throughout Indonesia in the near future. The restaurant is located in Sarinah, a historical department store in the heart of the Jakarta's business district.

Pollo Campero China
After two years of extensive cultural research, in May of 2007 Pollo Campero opened its first restaurant in China, in Shanghai.
Pollo Campero Asia has plans to open many more Pollo Campero China restaurants, starting with Beijing and Guangdong. It is located in Nan Jing Xi Lu, a major shopping area of Shanghai.

Pollo Campero announced in January 2010 that it will open a restaurant in New Delhi, India, and has plans for 50 Pollo Campero franchise restaurants by 2012 with franchisee Lite Bite Foods. In addition to its regular chicken selection, Pollo Campero India will offer an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes to accommodate India's rich religious and cultural diversity.

Pollo Campero recently opened a restaurant in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the capital city of Manama, opening the way for expansion into the Middle Eastern market.
According to an interview with José Gutierrez in the Prensa Gráfica in El Salvador, an Arab investor offered him $12 million USD for the famous Pollo Campero recipe - which he, of course, declined. Instead, the company will franchise the restaurant to the corporation J. A. Holding, with the first phase of restaurant openings aimed in Kuwait, Jordan, Cairo and Lebanon.
